Toss a coin to your favorite bard, Jaskier! The character played by Joey Batey in Netflix’s The Witcher first graced our eardrums with the catchy “Toss A Coin To Your Witcher.” He’s come out with other tunes since then, and the latest—“The Ride of the Witcher” featuring the folk metal band Percival Schuttenbach—is now available for our listening pleasure.

Check out the tune below:

“Ride Witcher Ride” is a darker song than “Toss A Coin” or even “Burn Witcher Burn,” and has some deep bass beats and vocals from Percival Schuttenbach that gives Jaskier/Batey’s lyrics that extra oompf. The song is the collaboration between Batey, Percival Schuttenbach, and the show’s composer Joseph Trapanese, whose other credits include working on Shadow and Bone’s score.

This song along with previous comments by Batey and The Witcher showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich suggest that Jaskier is finally getting treated better in the upcoming episodes, including having his own romantic subplot.

We’ll get to see how Jaskier’s travails in season three pan out, as well as whether Henry Cavill’s witcher does, indeed, ride when the first half of season three of the series premieres on Netflix on June 29, 2023. The second half of the season releases on the streaming platform on July 27, 2023.
